CrownNotify's Selling Guide
Now although buying shoes and other resellable items can be difficult, it can also be just as hard to sell the shoes and secure the profit. It is often not ideal to be left with products that you have bought and can’t seem to sell. Hopefully this guide will help change that.
Generic Selling Tips:
When selling your item it is important that you make it clear what you are selling in the item description.
Clear photos are also important. A clean photo with a clear background will help the shoe stand out and appeal to buyers.
Be nice when selling. If you come across as sour and rude to a buyer they might be off-put and you could lose a potential sale.
This is one of the most important factors. Ship on time and make sure you send items tracked. There are lots of creative scams out there and you don’t want to fall into one of them. Make sure to get all your sold items tracked or signed for so you can provide proof of postage in case anything bad happens.
There are lots of different places where you can sell your products. These include, StockX, GOAT, KLEKT, eBay, Depop, Bump, Facebook and even Instagram.

StockX

GOAT

Ebay

Depop

Bump

StockX:
StockX is great for a fast, smooth and easy selling process. You don’t have to take any photos or negotiate a price with the buyer therefore making it a hassle-free selling platform. However, StockX is notorious when it comes to charging high selling fees. Therefore I would consider selling on StockX a lazy selling choice or a last resort as the high fees eat into your profits.
GOAT:
GOAT are similar to StockX and also charge high selling fees. Although their fees seem to be slightly lower than StockX their selling process is very similar. Sometimes you have to provide a few photos when you sell an item on GOAT although this is not very time consuming and the process is still very simple.
eBay:
eBay is one of the better places to sell due to their low selling fees. However, their selling process is considerably longer than the previous marketplaces I have mentioned. eBay fees are usually 10% of the selling price, however, they often have an offer which introduces a £1 selling fee. It is essential that you make use of this offer as this can save you a lot of money in eBay fees. However, you have to be careful of eBay scams which are pretty frustrating. These are often in the form where someone messages you about a particular item and wants to buy outside of eBay. They will then try to con you with a fake paypal email. Do not fall for this. Make sure all buyers pay through eBay.
Depop:
Depop is an app that can also be a good place to sell. Depop is similar to eBay as they also take 10% of the selling price as commission. It should be noted however that there are a lot of lowballers scattered across depop and buyers who like to take the piss. Depop is a good secondary option to list your items although don’t use it if you get easily frustrated by lowballers.
Bump:
Bump works similarly to Depop although there are less users. Bump is a good secondary app to list your items on but again there is a smaller userbase than eBay and Depop and so it might take longer for your items to sell. There are also lots of scammers on Bump so you have to be careful.
Facebook
Facebook used to be the golden marketplace to sell your items. People used to pay high prices and sales were often smooth. Unfortunately this is no longer the case and Facebook is also scattered with lowballers and scams. The best way to sell on Facebook is to join groups and sell through there. I wouldn’t waste your time listing your items on the Facebook marketplace. However, selling in Facebook groups can still be successful and I would recommend listing your items in there as a secondary option.
Instagram:
Instagram is another good place to sell your items although it requires having a strong and established selling page already setup. If you don’t already have a business page on Instagram, it can take a long time to establish one and gain a strong following. Therefore Instagram should be avoided if you don’t already have a page. If you have a page then I would recommend using it as selling via Instagram can be a solid means to sell your items.
